Capabilities : : Projection Design

We spend a lot of time figuring out how far we can push technology. The goal is to offer our customers new and innovative ways to incorporate video display technology into their next show. We watch for new capabilities in projection technology. But, after 3 decades of watching, we understand that the basic functions do not stray far. Video goes in one end, we point, shape, color, match, blend and light comes out the other end. Basic project conditions, such as ambient light, audience size or exhibition space typically narrow things down to a few viable display models. How the technology is used to advance our client’s message and image is the more important question.

Our mission is to understand how display devices can be used and how we can make the light coming out the end of a projector do what we want it to do. We study display devices. We take them apart and put them back together. We take that knowledge to work with scenic designers and producers. We help them to use this technology in a way that completely integrates the video display into the audience experience. We take the video out of the box ... and put it where the client wants it.
